Operations Manager

We are a fast-growing business, and we are looking for a person with experience on-boarding and supporting clients on SaaS software.  

You will be part of a team  developing and delivering an innovative product for the organisation of epic, global group travel. We believe that the best kind of travel changes you and we have built a platform for the creators of those kinds of experiences.

Your day-to-day activities will focus on ensuring client trips look amazing and new clients are setup correctly.

Most of our team is based in Melbourne, Australia, but you don’t have to be. We value diversity of perspective and curiosity. You will work in a supportive, tight-knit, collaborative, agile team environment. We use Slack to stay in contact and focus on the customer experience.

Reporting to the CEO, you must be a self-starter and willing to try different approaches to hone our sales process from early stage to scalable. No need to be afraid to ask for assistance or input from other team members when appropriate, our standards are high but we only succeed together.

Mid-level MVC .Net Dev

Mid-level Full Stack .NET Developer

We are a fast-growing business, and we are looking for a mid-level Full Stack .NET Developer to join our development team.  

You will be part of a team responsible for developing and delivering an innovative product for the organisation of epic, global group travel. We believe that the best kind of travel changes you and we have built a platform for the creators of those kinds of experiences.

Your day-to-day activities will focus largely on the ongoing support and development a .NET MVC web platform. This may range from front end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to backend changes such as business layer logic, database changes (SQL Server with Entity Framework) and everything in between and around.

We are a female-led team based in Melbourne, Australia, but you don’t have to be. We value diversity of perspective and curiosity. You will work in a supportive, tight-knit, collaborative, agile team environment which includes not just our developers but also our amazing UX design and marketing gurus.  You will get the chance to perform a variety of development tasks, from exciting new developments to maintenance of the existing code base.

What we expect from our developers:

You have outstanding software development skills. You write clean, maintainable and technically sound code using OO and SOLID principles.

As part of the development team, you’re responsible for the scalability, security and performance of the platform. This responsibility underlines all your work and it plays on repeat in your head whilst you code away.

You really want to build something new.

You’re confident in suggesting new and brave ideas, technologies and ways of working.

You’re super eager, want to learn new technologies and get knee-deep in all areas of the code: front-end, back-end, and maybe even mobile apps (we are keen to be able to explore options).

You’re happy to communicate clearly with both techy people as well as the wider business.

Meaning you can explain things and not sound like you’re talking about quantum gravity (although if you can explain quantum gravity to us, that would be a fun bonus!).

You’re cool with documenting complex processes where needed. We try really hard to keep this to a minimum, but when it must be done it must be done and that’s that.

What we need our developers to have experience with:

  • C# ASP.NET, MVC 5, Web API 2
  • HTML, CSS3
  • JavaScript
  • SQL ideally SQL Server with Entity Framework Git
  • A passion for Software Development
  • A love of problem solving

What it would be nice for you to have experience with:

  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Continuous Integration and Automation
  • Working with various Amazon AWS services
  • NOSQL databases
  • Message Queues (e.g. AWS SQS)
  • DevOps experience
  • REST API

Education/Training:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering, or equivalent industry experience

2-3 + years of development experience

Community Manager

Seeking energetic and creative team member to help YouLi onboard clients, create trip templates, usable documentation, blog/social media content and provide occasional product support for our Travel Management Platform. 

Basically, do all the fun client facing stuff a new startup needs to do.

We live to travel and we want to empower organisers to go beyond the typical by creating experiences that change their customers.

Role is casual and ideally suited to someone transitioning into a travel career or training for it. 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Must haves:

  • Comfort with WordPress or other website CMS
  • Comfort with email marketing and digital platforms like Facebook/Instagram
  • Blogging experience or copyediting skills
  • Quick learner
  • Experience with excel/word/Google Docs
  • Keen attention to detail

Nice to have:

  • Customer support experience a plus
  • Experience planning travel is a plus
  • Travel blogging experience a big plus
  • Knowledge of Mandarin, written and verbal
